anyway, the novel and the fashion have literally nothing at all to do with one another. at all. even the names aren’t the same. “lolita fashion” evolved from a european word meaning “young girl” and “Lolita” is Humbert’s nickname for Dolores and only her ever forever. if it were called “nymphet fashion” YEAH THEN YOU’D HAVE A POINT
